Minutes of an extraordinary Council Meeting held in the Village Hall
on Wednesday 13th August 2019 at 7.30pm.
Present: Mr David Williams, Mrs Margaret Price, Mrs Elizabeth Gibbs, County
Councillor Rosemarie Harris, Mr David Mantle, Mr Alan James, Mr Mark Brian and
Mr David Filsell.
In attendance: S.Dale (Clerk).
1. Apologies for absence: Mr Paul Lindoewood.
2. Declaration of interest in items of business listed below: None
3. To discuss and take action in a land ownership dispute with
neighbours. The Community Council is a public authority. It
purchased the disputed land on behalf of the residents of Llangynidr.
As such it has a duty to exert itself in the retention of the land.
A letter responding to one received from Morgans' solicitors (16th
July 2019) was approved.
Clerk was instructed to continue to seek clarification on the true
ownership of the disputed land so that Council can determine the
appropriate course of action.
Clerk to follow-up with the Council's insurers.
Clerk was also instructed to keep a record of the time spent on the
